Cute box but not functional for small kids

I was very excited to get this box. When I saw it online it looked very cute. I loved the idea of the freezer pack fitting on the bottom of the entire box and having perfectly fitting containers.
Pros:
- it is a very cute box.
- the containers fit well
Cons:
- it's too heavy. It weighs just under 2 lbs and that is without any food in it. This makes it too heavy for a 4 year old to carry.
- my 4 year old son cannot open it without sending it flying
I think this would be better suited for a first or second grader
